Police Inspector K!lled In a Clash With DSS Operatives In Anambra.

A police inspector from the 29 Police Mobile Force (PMF) in Awka was reportedly shot in a recent clash with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).


‎According to report by Naijausers, the tragic incident happened during a stop-and-search operation in Uli, located in the Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

‎The event reportedly took place on June 24 at approximately 5:50 p.m. along the Onitsha/Owerri Expressway, close to the Danaks Filling Station in Uli.

‎According to the report, the police patrol team sighted the DSS Toyota ‎Sienna traveling through the wrong traffic way, the police patrol team stopped them to search the vehicle without knowing they were DSS operatives, they resisted the search and opened fire which accidentally hit a police inspector named Bello Abdullah, he was taken to Nnamdi Azikiwe teaching hospital Nnewi where he was confirmed dead upon arrival.

‎The assailants, later identified as DSS operatives affiliated with the Ihiala Local Government Secretariat, fled the scene immediately following the incident.
